About Rick

Hey There…

Pozos Reportis the life and times of Rick Pozos. Who is Rick Pozos you might be asking. He is a 50ish year old investor who has been in the game about 18 years. This is pretty much how I look. Hispanic, forehead getting ever so slightly larger and little spot on the back of my head getting a little thinner every year.

I am sure by now that you can tell I don’t take life too seriously. I am a pretty laid back kind of a guy. My wife and I take life one day at a time. We try not to get too moved by all of life’s little ups and downs, BUT we do believe in building and saving for the time when we will not be able to or want to work anymore. We are still working because we have to, but soon, we will not need to work. Our investments will be taking care of us. I don’t think that I will ever stop working completely, but we will not HAVE TO work so much. Until then, we continue on.

I forgot to tell you, we live, work and play in San Antonio, TX. I love meeting with other investors that are in town for the weekend, the week or on a long vacation. If you make it to my neck of the woods, email with a little notice and we can meet up for a beer or two at La Tuna or maybe a margarita at Rosario’s.

So I guess a little more about me. I have a finance degree from UTSA ’91. I have worked for a property manager, real estate developer, restaurants, food service distributor, school and a pawn shop. Quite a diverse background, huh? All the while I was thinking about real estate or investing in real estate while working. Now, I am completely self-employed, NOT working for THE MAN.

My wife and I own several properties at any given time and several notes. We really like the notes because they are easier to care for than rentals. We don’t have to call contractors to fix anything and the checks just show up in the mail every month. No vacancies, no repairs, no neighbor problems. The only problem is that they need larger chunks of cash infusions to purchase. Sometimes friends and family help out a little and get a great return on their money. Always remember: “Everyone working together is what will make it happen for everyone”.  If I can help, I will. If you ever have extra money sitting on the sidelines not doing anything, I am sure that I have a project that could use some $$$.

Good Luck on your Real Estate Journey!!
